May 14, 2021 – The Face Mask Donation Campaign was quickly launched in 2020, with the intention to provide support to non-for-profit organizations across Canada. So far, First Defence Face Masks have donated 60,000 disposable face masks to various non-for-profits across Canada, and are seeking to donate more.
First Defence Face Masks is a Calgary-based company manufacturing medical face masks for health care clinics, and businesses across Canada. In addition to providing medical face masks to businesses and individuals, the company has set out to donate disposable face masks to non-for-profit organizations across the country.
The Face Mask Donation Campaign was quickly launched in 2020, with the intention to provide support to non-for-profit organizations across Canada. So far, First Defence Face Masks have donated 60,000 disposable face masks to various non-for-profits across Canada, and are seeking to donate more. Some of the organizations that have received the First Defence donations are the Smile Foundation, Inspire our Nation, Mustard Seed and to Calgary Schools.
“Many non-for-profit organizations rely heavily on the generous donations of Canadians. As the COVID-19 pandemic hit, many non-for-profits expressed the need for their services had increased due to an array of reasons such as unemployment, personal crisis and financial burdens. If there is an increase of individuals using these services, there must be proper hygiene and PPE available for workers, volunteers and individuals” said CEO & Founder, Beau Taylor. “There are so many Canadian non-for-profit organizations that donate their time and resources to help Canadian individuals. We want to give back to them and ensure we are doing our part to help combat the spread and decrease infections by using proper medical PPE.”
